About The Position

The Revenue Manager is responsible for implementing the hotel’s revenue strategy, optimizing rates, managing inventory, and overseeing distribution channels to maximize revenue. This role also involves training and monitoring reservation agents, ensuring revenue goals are met through effective inventory control and pricing strategies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in hotel front office or reservations office in a leadership position.
  • 2+ years of experience with revenue management responsibilities in a large property or multiple smaller properties.
  • Experience with analyzing Market Vision and STAR Reports.
  • Strong knowledge of PMS/GDS systems and other hotel distribution platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to interpret financial data and adjust strategies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to train and manage reservation agents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for producing forecasts and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maximize hotel revenue through effective use of PMS/GDS systems and by managing inventory allocation and pricing.
  • Configure and maintain PMS/GDS systems and rate inventory controls to achieve revenue goals.
  • Support the General Manager in executing the hotel’s revenue management strategy.
  • Work with third-party market managers to implement strategies and analyze channel marketing reports to drive revenue.
  • Maintain the hotel’s pricing and distribution strategy across PMS and extranet platforms.
  • Produce daily and weekly financial forecasts and track reservation booking pace.
  • Monitor transient account production and participate in setting rates for transient and group contracts.
  • Oversee and train reservation agents to ensure effective sales processes and high-quality guest service.
  • Assist the Director of Sales (DOS) with pricing decisions and account analysis during the annual RFP season.
  • Manage group room blocks, ensuring proper handling of pickups, cut-offs, attrition, and other details.
  • Maintain oversell and sell-through strategies for all future dates.
  • Attend weekly sales and staff meetings and produce routine reports for forecasting and data analysis.
