About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Revenue Manager in United States. This role is responsible for owning and scaling the end-to-end revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and GAAP-compliant recognition across a growing mix of products and revenue streams. The Revenue Manager will design scalable revenue recognition, billing, and deferred revenue processes while working cross-functionally with Accounting, Technology, Sales, Operations, and Leadership. This position requires a combination of technical accounting expertise, operational curiosity, and a hands-on approach to building processes that support rapid business growth. You will oversee accounts receivable, deferred revenue, and cost accounting, while establishing controls, reporting, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing meticulous attention to detail with strategic process improvements. This is a highly collaborative role, offering visibility into company performance and the ability to shape scalable financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting.
  • Strong expertise in accounts receivable, deferred revenue, accrual accounting, and ASC 606 / GAAP revenue recognition.
  • Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff.
  • Proven ability to reconcile revenue across multiple systems (e.g., CRM to ERP/accounting system).
  • Advanced Excel skills for amortization schedules, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to design and implement scalable processes.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks, Rillet, or similar CRM/accounting integrations.
  • Familiarity with multiple revenue models including events, subscriptions, inventory, and milestone-based revenue.
  • Experience supporting rapid growth or newly launched revenue streams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving and evolving business environment.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CPA-track candidates are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Own revenue recognition across all products and services, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ASC 606.
  • Review and approve deferred revenue schedules, amortization logic, and journal entries prepared by the Revenue Specialist.
  • Partner with leadership on monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate revenue, accounts receivable, and related balances.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex revenue questions, contract structures, and edge cases.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, billing logic, payment applications, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of deferred revenue schedules tied to customer contracts and delivery timelines.
  • Partner with fulfillment and product teams to properly account for inventory and cost of goods sold.
  • Own system reconciliations, including CRM and accounting platforms, ensuring clean and auditable data flows.
  • Design scalable processes to support new revenue streams, improving automation, reporting, and documentation.
  • Provide operational oversight and guidance to support staff, maintaining controls, documentation, and audit readiness.
