About The Position

The Revenue Manager plays an important role in the property’s business growth by helping maximize revenue and controlling room inventory through the application of appropriate selling strategies to the property’s distribution systems. In addition to providing guidance for improvement, the Revenue Manager will also: Identify inventory control risk, and may develop and implement plans to control rates and inventory sold across all channels. Updates, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of their revenue control plans by use of channel distribution systems, and property room sale platforms including PMS, RMS and web booking engines. Measuring results and providing statistical reports are an integral part of this position.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum three years’ experience in Revenue Management or five years’ experience in Hotel Operations with at least three years’ supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge in areas such as channel management, web booking engine platforms, Agilysys LMS PMS, and query language is required, including Microsoft Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • A bachelor’s degree in Hotel Administration, accounting, finance or a related area is preferred but not required.
  • Revenue Manager may also benefit from having strong analytical, communication, multi-tasking, and team work skills.
