About The Position

This is a Revenue Investigator-Criminal Enforcement position in the General Tax Administration Program's Field Operations - Criminal Investigations Process in the Alachua service center. The non-sworn incumbent conducts intricate tax fraud investigations of revenue law violations and provides investigative assistance to our internal and external partners. The incumbent interviews potential subjects/witnesses; research systems and records; identifies, gathers, secures, organizes, analyzes, and presents evidence; prepares case reports, probable cause affidavits, subpoena requests and search warrants; testifies at hearings/trials; participates in training; handles required operational and administrative tasks.

Requirements

Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Two years of experience conducting criminal tax investigations within the General Tax Administration Program.
Experience interviewing potential subjects/witnesses.
Experience preparing case reports including probable cause affidavits.
Experience preparing subpoena requests/search warrants.
Experience testifying at hearings/trials.

Nice To Haves

Two years of experience in conducting intricate tax fraud (felony) investigations of revenue law violations.
