Relay is seeking a Revenue Intern for Summer 2027 to join their team. Requirements

• Accounting major entering their final year (rising senior), or a recent grad who will begin a Master's in Accounting program in the fall following the internship.
• Comfortable working in Excel.
• Experience or interest in using AI tools for data analysis.
• Attention to detail and a solution-oriented mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Curious, self-motivated, and comfortable asking questions.

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to accounting coursework covering ASC 606.
• Any familiarity with NetSuite or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Revenue Accounting team on ASC 606 compliance, deferred revenue analysis, and month-end close processes.
• Gain understanding of Relay's products and the order-to-cash cycle.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition by reviewing sales orders, customer contracts, and invoices under guidance.
• Partner with the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting on a cross-functional initiative to redesign internal revenue reporting.
• Evaluate existing report structure and align with how Finance and the business track performance.
• Deliver improved reporting that scales with the company.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Sales, Customer Success, and Legal on contract and order questions.
• Take on a defined project focused on identifying a recurring manual process within revenue accounting and either building a tool to automate it, conducting a deep analytical review to improve it, or developing documentation/training materials.
• Present project findings/deliverables at the Intern Showcase.
• Support the broader Accounting team on ad hoc requests and special projects.
