About The Position

This role is within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle - Vendor Management department and is responsible for extracting and manipulating data to perform trend calculations, identify benchmarking opportunities, and measure performance. The analyst will transform data into information, analyze and validate data for accuracy, and present findings through various statistical methods. Collaboration with leadership and staff is key to providing insights and recommendations for business decisions and initiatives. The role also involves identifying and implementing opportunities for business efficiency through automation and improvement of data collection and analysis processes. Additionally, the analyst may function as a system administrator for databases, implement and maintain database systems, and ensure data compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in data management or analysis which includes experiences in extracting, analyzing, and manipulating data to provide consultation, and identify trends and business opportunities.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite or similar products.
  • Experience with relational databases as well as other data management systems.
  • Ability to perform complex reporting, including demonstrated skill in composing logical, detailed, and analytical reports that support planning and decision making.
  • Skills in understanding abstract concepts and in translating those concepts into an analytics to depict data or support business needs.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and data presentation to summarize and present data accurately reflecting and conveying meaning.
  • Skills in creating benchmarking analysis and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to display and communicate information to all levels of employees, management, and other organizations.
  • Thorough understanding of data points within data sources and the advantages and disadvantages.

Responsibilities

  • Extracts and manipulates data to perform trend calculations, identify benchmarking opportunities and business needs, and measure process or organizational performance.
  • Extracts patterns from data to transform data into information.
  • Analyzes, compiles, researches, and validates data to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of analytics.
  • Presents, displays, and calculates various statistics displaying analysis results.
  • May assist others with data cleansing and more complex statistical analysis.
  • Collaborates and consults with leadership and staff to transform the data providing insight and recommendations for business decisions, quality, research, performance, and/or organizational initiatives.
  • Facilitates leadership's and staff's interpretation of data by developing narrative and quantitative reports (charts, tables, or graphs) depicting analysis results, recommendations, forecasting, and performance.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities for increasing business efficiency by developing new methods for automating or improving data collection, validation, and benchmarking activities.
  • May functions as system administrator for the database(s) to audit database functionality and assign and train new users.
  • Implements, and maintains database systems based on leadership and end-user specifications to advance departmental/organizational data collection, analysis, and reporting capabilities.
  • May manually review or oversee the manual review of medical records or other data sources to supplement programmatically extracted data.
  • Ensures data is provided in a manner that is consistent and compliant with applicable laws, regulations, legal agreements, policies and procedure, and/or other standards.
