About The Position

Human Services Management Corporation (HSMC) is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist to help ensure accurate billing, timely payment processing, and effective support for client organizations. The role involves working with patient accounts, insurance claims, cash receipts, and reimbursement issues while collaborating with internal and client teams. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the Milford office. Compensation is $23–$26 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of experience in billing, cash posting, or insurance verification.
• Experience with accounts receivable and electronic reimbursement systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, EHRs, and practice management software.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post payments, adjustments, and denials accurately to patient accounts.
• Reconcile daily and monthly cash receipts and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Obtain and track prior authorizations to support timely billing.
• Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims accurately.
• Monitor outstanding claims and follow up on unpaid accounts.
• Partner with Billing, Collections, Intake, and client teams to resolve reimbursement issues.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
