About The Position

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is seeking a Revenue Cycle Service Coordinator for the Dental Clinics and Call Center. The Dental Clinics are an important part of the health care delivery system ensuring optimal health care experience for our dental patients and students. The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator is an integral member of the College of Dentistry care teams. Overall responsibilities include patient scheduling, taking incoming patient calls, patient registration, verifying accuracy and completeness of forms, coordinating with and disseminating information to the patient care team. Answers questions and provides accurate information about services and College information; works in a team environment supporting and providing backup coverage as necessary; maintains a high degree of professionalism with all patients and teammates. This position may include weekends and evening work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Drug and alcohol screening

Nice To Haves

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Scheduling patient appointments accurately in a medical or dental setting
  • Working knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) software
  • Very detailed oriented
  • Developed organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office in a business environment
  • Ability to complete appropriate correspondence to maintain patient communication
