Requirements

Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.
High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Advanced revenue cycle and system expertise with a proven track record leading end-to-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital or large health system environment.

Responsibilities

Provide daily operational guidance while cultivating a culture of growth through strategic hiring, hands-on onboarding, continuous education, performance evaluations, and active team mentorship.
Produce and analyze key performance reports tracking cash collections, unbilled accounts, denial trends, contract yields, and predictive models to bench performance and drive smart financial decisions.
Oversee quarterly auditor revenue valuation reviews and craft strategic recommendations for senior management to ensure accurate financial reporting and revenue retention.
Drive departmental fiscal health by building, monitoring, and adhering to operational budgets while delivering strategic projects on time and within scope.
Manage external consultant relationships, contract negotiations, and third-party billing agencies to optimize external support and revenue capture.
