About The Position

The Revenue Cycle Financial Analyst participates in preparing financial reports, refreshing operational analytical work-driver tools, and maintaining Excel-based reporting packages used and published by the Revenue Cycle Management team. In collaboration with other sub-departments, the analyst contributes to initiatives intended to streamline operations and improve throughput and performance outcomes. With assistance from IT Product Owners, the analyst reviews system capabilities against gaps reported by business owners and documents requirements for needed functionality enhancements. The position is based on-site at the company’s Corporate Miramar, Florida office, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The analyst maintains an understanding of financial and operational reporting tools supporting revenue cycle operations, provides analyses to help identify issues and trends, and supports system implementations, enhancements, testing, and rollouts. The role also includes preparing and maintaining reporting, reconciliation, and analysis deliverables, documenting system functionality and changes, and assisting managers with additional analysis and projects as needed.

Requirements

Three to five years of prior finance, accounting, and/or Revenue Cycle experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including building and using formulas.
Ability to navigate automated systems; proficiency in Outlook and Word.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Prior knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party billing and collection.
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or the international equivalent.
Ability to work on-site at the Corporate Miramar, Florida office, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

Maintain a thorough understanding of financial and operational reporting tools used to support revenue cycle operations.
Run and refresh daily and weekly work-driver tools to facilitate managers’ work assignments.
Provide financial reporting and trend analytics to help sub-department owners identify issues.
Assist IT with revenue cycle system implementations, enhancements, testing, and rollouts.
Document system functionality and ensure relevant personnel are informed of changes and revisions affecting revenue cycle applications.
Analyze results, monitor variances, identify trends, and recommend actions to management to improve financial status.
Publish the monthly financial reporting package for the finance team on time.
Complete ad hoc data extracts and analyses requested by sub-department business owners.
Illustrate data graphically and translate findings into written text.
Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external teams to support integration and alignment of departmental priorities.
Refresh monthly metrics in the revenue cycle reporting tool and/or prepare charge integrity reports for Steering Committees and workgroups.
Collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis staff to prepare the Report Card Accounts Receivable Scoreboard Analysis.
Perform various reconciliations.
Prepare monthly Percent of Total Receivable Aging analyses for Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial.
Compile and organize the Comparison of Revenue to Remittances Processed analysis.
Prepare a graph relating A/R greater than 180 days to total A/R dollars.
Edit and prepare the Unapplied Cash Report.
Compile and assemble the Collections Vs Goal Report and Analysis.
Prepare the General Ledger Posting Exceptions Analysis and Reconciliation.
Assist department managers with other analyses and projects as needed.
