About The Position

Sunbound is looking for a Revenue Cycle Analyst to lead its growing Revenue Cycle Management team. The role involves reporting to the Director of RCM and ensuring timely and accurate billing for customers. This position encompasses the entire revenue cycle, including billing, follow-up, and cash posting. It is a highly collaborative role with opportunities to influence the direction of the Claims team and processes, as well as partner with Product to ensure the development of appropriate tools.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree required, or 7 years direct and applicable experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in billing, claims follow up, denial management, and cash posting.
Strong understanding of hospital, facility, and long term care/ SNF billing processes, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, managed care plans, and private insurance billing.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Certification in medical billing/coding (e.g., CRCR, CPC, CCA) is a plus.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and clearinghouses.
Experience with payer portals (Availity, Navinet, Provider One, PaySpan, etc.).

Responsibilities

Review and submit claims for senior living health providers (specifically assisted living and skilled nursing / nursing home providers).
Reconcile and balance remits to daily bank deposits and correctly apply cash to internal and external systems.
Ensure coding and documentation compliance with CMS and payer-specific requirements.
Track claim statuses and remittances.
Work denials and follow up with unpaid claims proactively.
Evaluate insurance operations and identify efficiency improvements.
Analyze EOBs and post manual payments.
