About The Position

Responsible for the Minimum Internal Control testing and reporting required for the property and supervision of the revenue audit team members in the absence of the Revenue Audit Manager. Assist the Revenue Audit Manager and Corporate Accounting Manager in analysis and gaming compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a Supervisory role required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Nevada Employee Gaming registration is required.
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification may be required for special events.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finances, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting and/or casino auditing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
  • Review for completeness and accuracy all work performed by Revenue Audit assigned by the Revenue Audit Manager or Corporate Accounting Manager.
  • Ensure compliance of all gaming regulations and gaming policy and procedures.
  • Provide information and assistance for the preparation of any required reports.
  • Review all exception reports submitted by Revenue Audit as needed by the Revenue Audit Manager.
  • Follow up on all exception reports to ensure adequate responses as needed.
  • Maintain proper procedures for record retention of all source documents required by the State, IRS, and Gaming Control Board.
  • Coordinate and provide all information requested by Internal Audit, Gaming Control Board, or any other agency.
  • Under leadership of the Revenue Audit Manager and Corporate Accounting Manager update and review any departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide prompt, courteous guest service always while following the Nugget's guest service standards.
  • Participate in and support all guest service training programs.
  • Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  • Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond” as appropriate.
  • Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  • Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  • Regular predictable attendance is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Performs all responsibilities in compliance with current federal and state/provincial regulations, the regulations, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
