Revenue Accounting Manager
About The Position
FIS is seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join its Capital Markets Accounting team. The role owns revenue accounting activities for designated business lines within the Capital Markets segment and serves as a key resource on revenue recognition matters under ASC 606. The successful candidate will have a foundation in revenue accounting and be able to lead and navigate month-end and quarter-end close activities on time. The position is based in Jacksonville, Florida, with a hybrid schedule requiring in-office work Tuesday through Thursday. The role also supports audits and strategic initiatives, including acquisition integrations, system implementations, and process transformation projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, including month-end/quarter-end close activities and exposure to revenue accounting.
- Expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with enterprise accounting systems such as Oracle.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Nice To Haves
- CPA or equivalent certification.
- A combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience.
- Experience within technology, software, SaaS, fintech, or financial services organizations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly revenue accounting process for assigned Capital Markets businesses.
- Evaluate and account for customer contracts and revenue arrangements in compliance with ASC 606.
- Review and approve revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Review and analyze revenue-related income statement and balance sheet results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with FIS accounting policies and SOX/internal controls requirements.
- Support quarterly and annual audits.
- Support strategic initiatives, including acquisition integrations, system implementations, and process transformation projects.
