We’re looking for a Revenue Accountant to assist with process rental billing for Industrial property tenants. This role handles a variety of revenue accounting functions, including lease analysis, revenue analysis, tenant accounts receivable reviews, and also processes year end billings.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience ideally in real estate property accounting
  • Post-secondary college degree in accounting program.
  • Current enrolment in a professional accounting program, CPA
  • This position requires property accounting/administration experience
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office and property management accounting systems
  • The incumbent must be self-motivated and work well in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain floor, unit and lease and detailed square footage inventory on automated property management systems (Yardi-7S)
  • Detailed review of new lease and lease renewal information and entry of information into property management systems
  • Review property rent roll to process monthly rental billings to tenants
  • Process tenant miscellaneous billings and rental adjustments as required
  • Review and process monthly straight-line rent, bad debt accrual, and gross potential rent entries
  • Maintain retail tenants’ percentage rent information on a monthly basis
  • Prepare reconciliation of outstanding tenant receivables and provide statements of account
  • Process year-end billing increases to tenant operating and property tax recoveries.
  • Prepare year-end recovery invoices to tenants
  • Prepare monthly revenue variances
  • Other duties as assigned including preparation of revenue collection and variance reports
