About The Position

The Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording of company revenue in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. This role supports month-end close activities, collections, reconciliations, reporting, audits, and analysis related to sales and revenue transactions. The Revenue Accountant partners closely with Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure the integrity of revenue recognition and related financial data. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience preferred, with exposure to revenue accounting or general ledger accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing or distribution industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record revenue-related journal entries.
  • Review and reconcile sales, invoicing, and revenue accounts.
  • Managing delinquent customer accounts.
  • Ensure revenue recognition complies with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Analyze revenue trends, variances, and discrepancies.
  • Reconcile customer accounts, deferred revenue, and related balance sheet accounts.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing documentation and explanations.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to resolve billing and revenue issues.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with process improvements and implementation of accounting controls.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
