About The Position

The Revenue Accountant performs a variety of core accounting assignments within our rapidly expanding business. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer contracts, reviewing billing terms, booking journal entries and accruals, preparing ad hoc reporting, assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance Concentration
  • 1-3 years of revenue accounting or order-to-cash experience
  • Must be detail-oriented and analytical
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
  • Possessing a high sense of urgency, ability to interact with multiple levels within the organization and be an effective team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite a plus
  • Experience maintaining audit-ready documentation

Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts, purchase orders, and order forms for completeness and accuracy.
  • Validate pricing, billing terms, tax treatment and customer setup requirements
  • Coordinate order entry and booking processes within ERP/CRM systems
  • Ensure orders comply with company policies and revenue recognition requirements
  • Work across the organization to help track milestones and project completions to ensure accurate enforcement of revenue recognition policies
  • Assist in the development and/or enhancement of policies and procedures that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the accounting function and organization
  • Support the Senior Director and Senior Manager, with special projects, accounting research, timeliness of year-end financial audit and monthly financial statement close process
  • Provide insight and suggestions for creating efficiencies in the close process
  • Collaborate with other Finance department team members to support overall goals and objectives
