About The Position

The Catalyst is responsible for supporting revenue cycle transformation efforts by identifying and implementing process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Working under the direction of the Manager of Revenue Cycle Optimization & Innovation, this role helps facilitate workflow redesign and optimization across revenue cycle departments by serving as a key connector between operations, IT, and automation resources. The Catalyst promotes a culture of continuous improvement while enhancing Hartford HealthCare's overall financial performance.

Requirements

• Minimum: Some education in Healthcare field, Business, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent work experience
• Minimum: of 2 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations or business process improvement
• Proficient in English; strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Foundational knowledge of revenue cycle processes
• Basic understanding of performance metrics (e.g., denials, collection rates)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Interest in process improvement and automation (e.g., RPA)

Nice To Haves

• Associates’ degree in relevant Healthcare field preferred
• Advanced coursework or certifications in process improvement is a plus
• Experience with healthcare IT systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or change management principles
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or similar (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities

• Partnering with revenue cycle teams to identify operational pain points and support improvement initiatives
• Conducting data analysis to inform and validate performance improvement efforts
• Supporting the development and documentation of current and future-state workflows
• Participating in stakeholder meetings and knowledge-sharing activities
• Maintaining compliance and supporting documentation for implemented improvements
• Developing and contributing to training materials and change management activities
