About The Position

The Returns Technician will work under the supervision of the Returns Supervisor to assist in the de-prep and return of all Solotech tours. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a live event production or event rental equipment
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
  • Knowledge of Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate information in a logical and clear way.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
  • Good ability to self-start and prioritize within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of inventory software (an asset)
  • Forklift certification (an asset)
  • TN health card and ability to operate commercial vehicles up to 26’ (an asset)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and return product correctly using the inventory system while ensuring Solotech’s quality standards procedures.
  • Help coordinate tour de-preps from receipt to end-department for QC.
  • Ensure all returns are processed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with the appropriate departments concerning returns.
  • Work with the Returns Supervisor to maintain operational efficiencies.
  • Verify and coordinate that all cables are organized by the correct type and quantity and scanned for inventory accuracy prior to returning to the appropriate department.
  • When orders are returned, verify the accuracy, quality, and completeness of each return.
  • Keep the warehouse organized and clean; report any damage or hazards to the Returns Supervisor.
  • Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory integrity.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain an organized and clean prep bay space.
  • Assist in operational projects, changes, and moves.
  • Follow quality standards as well as the company’s and/or industry’s standards of preparation.
  • Handle the Loading and unloading of outbound and inbound equipment.
  • Assist the Prep Bay Coordinator when necessary.
  • All other duties related to the position.
  • May be required to work in the following departments: Sound, Lighting, Video and Rigging, networking, shipping & receiving.
