About The Position
Kunes Auto Group is hiring a Returns Clerk for our Parts Department to join our team. This full-time position works Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM — consistent daytime hours, no nights or weekends. In this role, you'll check in parts returned by our delivery drivers, confirm accuracy and condition, process returns back into inventory or to the manufacturer, and help issue correct return credits to customers.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with inventory and customer credit records
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in parts, returns, or warehouse operations is a plus, but training is provided for the right candidate
- No warehouse equipment experience required — occasional pallet jack use only, training provided
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for accurate returns processing
Responsibilities
- Check in parts returns brought back by parts drivers and confirm accuracy and correct condition
- Inspect returned parts to verify they match order records and meet return standards
- Process approved returns back into inventory or prepare them to send back to GM
- Assist with writing accurate return credits to the original ordering customer
- Maintain organized, accurate records of all returns processed
- Follow all safety policies to maintain a secure work environment
- Other duties as assigned
