About The Position
This is a high-impact, client-facing strategy role within a modern, forward-thinking CPA firm. The firm is building out a specialized Real Estate Tax (RETS) Pod focused on real estate investors, advanced tax strategy, and high-level client advisory work. This position is strategy-first, not compliance-heavy, and is ideal for someone who excels in client conversations, enjoys solving complex tax problems, and desires to operate at a high level. The role offers a clear career path towards Manager, Senior Manager, and Partner.
Requirements
- CPA or EA (required)
- 5+ years of public accounting experience
- Strong client-facing + advisory experience
- Deep understanding of real estate / advanced tax strategies
- Ability to translate complex ideas into clear client guidance
- Comfortable leading difficult, high-stakes financial conversations
Responsibilities
- Lead tax strategy sessions and advisory engagements
- Guide clients through real estate and advanced tax planning
- Analyze STR strategy, REPS, cost seg, and investment structures
- Stress-test strategies and deliver real-world tax outcomes
- Serve as a trusted advisor on complex decisions
- Support tax season prep alongside the RETS Pod team
- Help shape processes within a growing specialized practice
