Responsible for assisting Members/Participants with all retirement products including Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans (457), State Teachers Retirement System and 403b plans. Explains and recommends to Members/Participants the coordination and benefits of retirement products specific to school employees. Coordinates day-to-day administration for assigned retirement plans, including Individual Retirement Accounts, Deferred Compensation Plans (457), State Teachers Retirement System, and 403(b) plans. Responds to telephone and written inquiries to provided information to Members/Participants. Answer questions and convey information regarding the provisions of the plans. Handles routine inquiries by branches/departments and Members/Participants. Processes standard transactions such as retirement account transfers, rollovers, trustee-to-trustee transfers, and distributions. Authorize 403(b)/457(b) salary reduction agreements, loans, distributions and exchanges. Responds to inquiries and requests from school district offices, understands laws, IRS Rules and Regulations governing retirement plans. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions.
