About The Position

Our firm is growing, and we are searching for a proactive, reliable Retirement Plan Associate to support our defined contribution retirement plan practice. You will make an impact by helping manage customized, high value add 401(k) and 403(b) offerings for our clients. You will get the opportunity to communicate directly with clients and meet with them alongside our advisors. In this role, you will learn from a cohesive team of licensed professionals. We will train, mentor, and coach you as you build your retirement plan acumen, develop your skills, and establish a successful career. This position has the potential for growth into a lead advisory role, but does not initially involve any sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field
  • At least one (1) year of relevant investment and financial advisory experience, preferably involving 401(k) and/or 403(b) plans
  • Registered as an Investment Advisor Representative in the state of Michigan or able to become registered within the first six months
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly and effectively
  • Strong attention to details, analytical skills, and problem-solving
  • Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously, accommodating unexpected requests or needs, and following through
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies, AI tools, software platforms, and digital workflows quickly
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and grow

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate plan-level and participant-level service offering in conjunction with advisers
  • Act as liaison between retirement plan clients and plan's Recordkeeper/TPA/Benefit Counsel
  • Handle inbound participant inquiries, enrollments, and transfers
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of retirement plan client files and CRM records
  • Attend sales presentations for new retirement plan prospects and ongoing committee meetings for existing clients
  • Attend (and eventually present at) retirement plan enrollment meetings
  • Stay current and knowledgeable on all aspects of the qualified plan market (including products, compliance, technology, etc.)
