About The Position

Retirement Financial Consultants at Manulife John Hancock Wealth work with an established book of clients, servicing their needs, building trust, and deepening relationships rather than performing cold-call prospecting. The channel is opening a growing pipeline of accounts, providing opportunities to engage clients, understand their goals, and help them make informed decisions about retirement planning and investments. As a member of an employee-channel, phone-based team, the consultant delivers financial education and guidance to help clients pursue desired retirement outcomes while supporting client retention, relationship growth, and asset growth. The role offers coaching, shared resources and best practices, and senior-advisor support in a collaborative team. It also provides opportunities to strengthen advisory skills and advance into more senior financial advisor roles as the business grows. The position responds to inbound calls from existing IRA clients and referrals, assesses needs, explains retirement and investment concepts, and presents relevant solutions. Consultants handle account and investment questions, support client decision-making, follow up on leads and opportunities, and refer clients needing more sophisticated advice to senior advisors. They also maintain knowledge of the company’s offerings and relevant market, regulatory, and financial-planning developments, and participate in training and coaching. The role is hybrid. The listed base salary range is $40,000 to $66,700 USD, with eligibility for discretionary incentive compensation. Benefits are available to eligible employees and include health and dental coverage, mental health and vision benefits, disability and life coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, employee and family assistance plans, retirement savings plans, paid time off, and statutory leaves.
