About The Position

The purpose of this position is to perform administrative duties for the Retirement Fund and to provide excellent customer service to the participants and members. Duties include: Answers questions from members regarding employee benefits coverage and provisions of the Retirement Fund. Consults with internal and external contacts to solve discrepancies regarding the retirement plans. Assists department with various administrative tasks. Reviews correspondence regarding plan provisions, retirement options, and other matters to assist plan participants and other external contacts. Processes various retirement forms and correspondence.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of GMA and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of relevant life and health insurance, retirement, and COBRA laws and regulations.
  • Skill in interpreting retirement and insurance plan provisions.
  • Skill in bookkeeping and filing.
  • Skill in typing.
  • Skill in mathematics.
  • Skill in operating computer terminal, computer software, and office equipment.
