About The Position

American Home Design is looking for an energetic individual to serve as a Retail & Trade Show Event Manager. This role will primarily focus on identifying local events for participation and managing a professional team to generate leads. A secondary focus includes supporting the Home Depot lead generation program. The ideal candidate is a great coach who enjoys working directly with the team to generate leads, possesses retail or sales management experience, and has some sales and lead generation experience. Excellent communication, recruitment, and motivation skills are essential, along with a willingness to work weekends.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in events and/or retail management.
  • Marketing & lead generation experience.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to recruit, hire, train, and motivate others.
  • Willingness to work on the weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Home Improvement experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and growing leads from local events and shows in Middle TN.
  • Interviewing, training, hiring, and motivating promoters who work at events.
  • Managing promoters, including holding them accountable to hourly expectations for appointments set and providing follow-up coaching.
  • Traveling locally for events.
  • Setting up and tearing down event displays.
  • Managing sales and marketing reports to ensure goals are met.
  • Supporting the Home Depot lead generation program.
