About The Position

The Retail Tire Technician performs tire services, vehicle inspections, flat repairs, and oil changes. The role also supports customer service, product receiving, store opening and closing, facility upkeep, inventory organization, and other shop operations. This is a full-time, hourly position.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a vehicle maintenance shop.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Mount and dismount retail and commercial tires; check air pressure, balance and rotate tires, and perform flat repairs.
Ensure lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
Inspect vehicles according to VIR training expectations.
Prioritize customer satisfaction and communication.
Recommend safety and preventative services to customers.
Receive products at the location before putting them away.
Perform vehicle oil changes.
Assist with opening and closing the store and completing end-of-shift duties.
Maintain and clean the facility, including sweeping, emptying garbage cans, organizing tire and lube shop supplies, and cleaning the parking lot of debris and garbage.
Organize the warehouse by grouping like tires, facing inventory, keeping rows tidy, and helping maintain a safe operating area.
Keep the workspace, bay areas, Commercial Tire vehicles, and customer vehicles clean.
Provide shuttle and/or customer courtesy driving.
Assist with phone and counter duties as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
