About The Position

This role involves processing donated and purchased items for distribution to the sales floor, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and production quotas. Responsibilities include sorting, hanging, and categorizing merchandise using a computer grading system, maintaining production data, and understanding Kaizen practices for continuous improvement. The position also requires using material handling equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of the work area, and performing other requested duties. Open availability is preferred as the store operates 7 days a week.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a work or educational setting demonstrating the ability to interact positively with the public or team is required.
• Must be proficient in basic math.
• Must be able to read and write.
• Must be able to operate computerized equipment (POS Solutions Inventory System, grading and pricing system).
• Must be able to make pricing decisions based on quality of product.
• Must be able to meet quotas.
• Ability to communicate clearly with customers and associates.
• Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must pass a physical examination.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience dealing with the public is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process donated and purchased items for distribution to the sales floor.
• Ensure POS Solutions Inventory System processes are followed according to company guidelines.
• Meet established production quotas.
• Sort, hang, and categorize merchandise (textiles, shoes, electrical/mechanical and wares items) for grading and pricing using a computer grading system.
• Maintain current Open and Closed work batches and other production data pertaining to processed goods.
• Utilize knowledge of Kaizen practices for continuous improvement in the production area.
• Use material handling equipment/supplies to transport, move, and sort donations.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the work area.
• Perform all necessary cleaning functions in all areas of the store.
• Perform other duties as requested.
