Retail Supervisor - Boardman
About The Position
The Retail Supervisor leads day-to-day retail store operations under the direction of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The role directly supervises frontline staff, supports excellent customer service, maintains operational standards, and promotes efficient merchandise flow using 1-Touch principles. As the on-duty leader during assigned shifts and when store management is absent, the Retail Supervisor helps ensure safety, compliance, staff engagement, and speed-to-floor execution. Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct assigned retail staff, including Customer Service Representatives, Sorters, Donation Center Attendants, and Retail Producers.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to help staff meet performance expectations.
- Assist with onboarding, training reinforcement, and mentoring new employees.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism by leading by example.
- Support a positive customer experience through active floor supervision and issue resolution.
- Support point-of-sale operations and cash handling procedures as needed.
- Maintain store appearance, merchandising standards, and cleanliness.
- Monitor staffing coverage to support smooth daily operations.
- Reinforce DGR optimization and 1-Touch practices among staff.
- Monitor merchandise flow from donation intake through processing to the sales floor.
- Identify and address bottlenecks that affect speed-to-floor.
- Support pricing, staging, and replenishment priorities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and loss prevention procedures.
- Monitor store activity to deter internal and external shrink.
- Follow and enforce cash handling and banking procedures when assigned.
- Promptly report incidents, injuries, and safety concerns.
- Complete assigned paperwork and operational reports accurately.
- Communicate operational issues and staffing concerns to store management.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
