About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for Entry Level Managers to fill a Full Time Retail Supervisor position at our Holly Store located at 15205 Holly Rd, Holly, Michigan. This role offers a starting pay of $17.00 an hour plus a 20% discount on in-store purchases, career advancement opportunities, and monthly bonus potential. The position involves learning Goodwill's Mission and assisting in the supervision of store staff, including opening and closing the store in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Michigan drivers license
• 1 year of general retail experience
• Ability to use cash register and follow Goodwill policy and procedures
• Ability to work full time; all shift availability and extra shifts as necessary
• Demonstrate strong management skills
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help
• Ability to reach, bend or stoop
• Able to stand six to eight hours a day
• Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
• Pleasant, cheerful and professional demeanor
• Must have telephone access

Responsibilities

• Assist in training, motivating, and communicating with store staff
• Promote professional and personalized donor and customer relations
• Organize and maintain sales floor and displays
• Assist with meeting and exceeding budgeted sales and margin goals
• Delegate essential tasks
• Lead by example to assure compliance with policies and procedures
• Open and Close the store in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager
