About The Position

Kilwins is hiring an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead a Company Store in the Venice/Sarasota, Florida area. The Store Manager owns the team and the full operation of the store, including customer experience, staffing, training, sales, labor, inventory, confection production, food safety, and financial performance. This is an active leadership role that involves leading from the sales floor, working alongside the team, and stepping in wherever attention is needed.

The onsite role requires availability based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and seasonal peaks. Occasional company-related travel may be required. The role requires standing and walking for prolonged periods, frequent bending and reaching, working near food-production and refrigeration equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. ServSafe Manager certification is required; Kilwins will pay for the certification if the employee does not already hold it, provided it is obtained within the required timeframe.

Requirements

• Retail, hospitality, food-service, or related management experience.
• Ability to lead by example and spend most of the work time on the sales floor.
• Ability to develop people, manage performance, and hold others accountable respectfully.
• Understanding of budgets, labor, inventory, and operating results.
• Ability to stay steady, organized, and solution-focused when priorities change.
• Comfort learning technology and confection-production processes.
• ServSafe Manager certification, or willingness to obtain it within the required timeframe; Kilwins will pay for the certification.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, schedule, train, coach, and develop a dependable, customer-focused team.
• Lead from the sales floor, model exceptional hospitality, and resolve customer concerns.
• Manage sales, labor, budgets, P&L results, cash controls, inventory, ordering, merchandising, equipment, and reporting.
• Set goals, monitor performance, and use business results to improve store operations.
• Oversee confection production, product availability, quality, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Build community relationships that support recruiting, store visibility, and sales.
• Become certified in all store zones and required production processes, then train and coach the team in those areas.
