We also grow our own natural latex and care for sheep. This role is for an on-site Retail Brand Experience Store Manager in Georgetown, Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of retail experience, including retail/store management experience (e.g., at least keyholder).
  • Experience managing store employees.
  • Passionate about the brand’s values of healthy living, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.
  • Experience in creating, reporting, and tracking KPIs/OKRs around sales goals.
  • Invested in creating a balanced and healthy environment for staff and guests.
  • A team player who actively contributes to the team to complete tasks, meet goals, or manage projects.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit to elevate the specific location.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working for a brand with similar values is a plus.
  • Previous experience running branded events is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create, report, drive, and track KPIs/OKRs around sales goals.
  • Work alongside the team, providing in-the-moment coaching and feedback.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to management on improving the retail experience.
  • Engage with customers and employees as a brand spokesperson and advocate.
  • Manage and coordinate Avocado events within the location.
  • Participate in company initiatives and concept projects.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product information, order updates, and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance for issue resolutions and handle escalated customer issues.
  • Ensure the team is well-versed in all products and processes.
  • Train the team on new product releases.
  • Assist the team with managing daily workloads, including customer emails, chats, and showroom interactions.
  • Conduct continual evaluation and feedback of processes and procedures through monthly performance reviews.
  • Suggest methods to improve operations, efficiency, and service.
  • Ensure calls and overall workload are handled efficiently and effectively.
  • Assist guests with resolving customer experience issues to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Collaborate with teams such as customer experience, production, and logistics to maintain a low return rate.
  • Provide the best customer service in the world.
  • Manage the overall condition of the showroom.
  • Attend community events and meetings to represent the store and brand.
  • Champion brand values and promote the retail experience in the community.
  • Manage inventory of sellable products across all channels.
  • Ensure store operations are in working order and arrange for repairs or maintenance, including the Wellness Cafe area.
  • Limit shrink (negative cost) of products and peripherals.
  • Engage in digital sales activities, including sales through chats, phones, and virtual appointments.
  • Follow up with customers through the CRM platform to ensure a wholesome experience.
  • Assist the team with managing the daily workload of responding to customer emails.
