About The Position

The Retail Store Manager leads the store’s financial success and operational excellence in alignment with Curaleaf’s mission, vision, and values. The role manages store performance, profitability, business trends, and financial operations while attracting, onboarding, and developing talent, building succession pipelines, and fostering continuous growth and improvement. The Store Manager acts as a brand ambassador, educating customers about Curaleaf products and leading a collaborative team-selling environment. The role inspires the team to exceed sales goals, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to business growth. It directly supervises team members and makes decisions related to hiring, termination, performance evaluations, and professional development. This full-time role requires open availability on weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights. Travel is 10%–25%. The position operates in a professional retail environment and includes physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Pay is $60,000–$66,500 USD. Benefits vary by state, role type, and eligibility.

Requirements

At least 3 years of retail leadership experience; experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to drive sales and consistently exceed performance goals in a fast-paced environment.
Experience building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on talent development, mentorship, and succession planning.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Exceptional customer service skills and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Willingness to give and receive feedback, manage change, and foster adaptability.
Success overseeing store operations, including visual merchandising, financial management, and loss prevention.
Availability to work weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights as needed.
Commitment to maintaining compliance with state regulations.
Ability to stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly; occasionally climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) is required.
Ability to work in confined spaces and tolerate a high-stress, changing environment; flexibility and adaptability are required.

Responsibilities

Empower the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, drive sales, and exceed key performance indicators.
Attract, hire, and retain a diverse team by establishing clear goals and expectations.
Train, mentor, and develop team members, using individual strengths and providing growth opportunities.
Forecast payroll to optimize productivity and meet sales and payroll targets while managing operational workloads.
Oversee profit and loss, drive revenue growth, improve store efficiency, identify underperforming areas, and implement solutions using company programs and tools.
Monitor business trends and share insights with senior leadership to refine strategies and improve results.
Delegate tasks, maintain clear brand messaging, and uphold company standards to ensure operational excellence.
Build urgency and accountability within the team and adapt to changes in the retail landscape.
Protect company assets through safety protocols, inventory control, and loss prevention, while complying with local, state, and federal regulations.
Analyze trends and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock and ensure efficient ordering.
Directly supervise team members, including decisions about hiring, termination, performance evaluations, and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
