Retail Store Manager
About The Position
DXL Group, the largest specialty retailer of men's Big + Tall apparel, is seeking a self-driven, results-oriented Retail Store Manager to build long-term relationships with guests and provide an unmatched retail experience. The manager will lead, inspire, and develop a team in a fast-paced store environment while overseeing store performance and operations. DXL promotes employee development and promotion from within. Stores are free-standing rather than located in malls and close at 7 p.m. The entire team is eligible for quarterly bonuses. The role may require travel to neighboring store locations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a Store Manager role.
- Four years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Willingness to travel to neighboring store locations.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. and move up to 50 lbs.

- Previous involvement working in a commission-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure each guest feels welcomed by spending quality time and asking questions to understand their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.
- Ensure the store meets sales plans while monitoring customer service, inventory, expense control, and risk management.
- Build a superior customer-focused sales team through ongoing coaching and training in selling skills, behaviors, and operational procedures.
- Serve as a product knowledge expert and sell and market a broad range of apparel, including private labels, name brands, and tailored clothing.
