About The Position

At Daniel B. Krieg, Inc. in Harrisburg, PA, we are looking for a full-time Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations, manage inventory, and lead a small team of associates. This position offers a competitive compensation package including salary, commission, and performance-based bonuses, with earning potential of $65K+. This is a full-time leadership position located at our Harrisburg, PA, store. The role requires 50+ hours per week, with some Saturdays from May through October. As a Retail Store Manager, you start the day by checking and managing inventory, opening the store, and ensuring products are stocked and well displayed. You lead and motivate a team of 2-3 associates while delivering excellent customer service to customers shopping for pavement maintenance products, including sealers, crack fillers, traffic signs, paint, geotextiles, and more. You will be expected to manage inventory, place inventory orders, communicate with vendors regarding new product offerings, and conduct regular inventory audits. You'll recruit, train, and develop team members while ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained throughout the store. In addition, you'll oversee sales strategies, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. You'll be responsible for resolving operational issues quickly and effectively while maintaining a customer-first approach. With every project and sale, you contribute to the success of our business and help customers find the right products for their needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Retail Store Manager or in a similar retail management role
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficient in using retail management software and point of sale (POS) systems
  • Ability to work 50+ hours per week, including some Saturdays from May-October

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
  • Forklift experience (training provided)
