About The Position

The Store Manager is responsible for the entire guest experience, operations, customer flow, staff, and floor inventory. The ultimate goal is to treat the store as if it is your own, managing every aspect of the day-to-day operations. The role requires inspiring and leading the floor team in providing superior customer service that makes customers feel welcomed, heard, and helped. This involves leading by example, creative problem-solving, and making critical decisions with an entrepreneurial and accountable approach to ensure a successful environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 Years of Retail Management experience
  • BA or BS required
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for growing revenue by driving sales and business results through a premium guest experience, employee relations, and operations aligned with Roark Culture and Retail Operating Principles.
  • Meet or exceed financial plan, including revenue plan, payroll budget, and overall store P&L.
  • Support new store openings, pop-ups and special events as needed.
  • Manage and execute store product flow, overall back of house operations, supply needs, and daily store maintenance.
  • Execute seasonal floor sets/visual merchandising directives within the store and maintain visual standards and brand image on a daily basis.
  • Be the product expert, understand customer needs, share product knowledge, and guide customers to product selections.
  • Share product knowledge with staff, provide coaching on product and selling techniques to foster productivity.
  • Manage POS issues, reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards, and discounts accurately.
  • Oversee management of the store team including recruiting, hiring, training, and career development in collaboration with Corporate Human Resources.
  • Open/close the shop as a Keyholder.
  • Motivate and inspire staff to approach the sales floor each day with enthusiasm.
  • Lead by example in all aspects of the role.
  • Create and manage staff schedules, including time off, coverage swaps, daily breaks and lunches, and covering schedule gaps.
  • Manage employee conflict and resolution.
  • Manage the staff training process.
  • Perform performance check-ins with staff according to the corporate calendar.
  • Properly merchandise and re-merchandise all items in the store at all times.
  • Manage store inventory, restocking product, and receiving new product.
  • Identify holes in shop inventory and place fill-in orders to maintain correct inventory levels.
  • Manage and lead all store events, requiring presence unless otherwise approved.
  • Be responsible for the promotion and marketing of all store events.
  • Conceive, execute, and manage at least 1 event per quarter that is unique to the flagship location.
  • Seek out local collaborations with relevant brands, artists, musicians, and athletes to promote the flagship location.
  • Lead the sales team in building customer loyalty through exceptional customer service.
  • Implement constant tactile and process improvements to the overall Sales/Customer Service approach.
