About The Position

The Retail Store Associate creates an exceptional piercing and shopping experience for customers at Rowan’s Station Park studio. The role supports the team on weekends and involves welcoming customers, helping with appointments and purchases, recommending and styling jewelry, answering questions about piercing and aftercare, and promoting Rowan’s products and services. The associate helps maintain the studio’s cleanliness, safety, inventory, and visual displays while delivering friendly, knowledgeable customer service. This is an hourly, non-exempt position reporting to a Studio Manager.

Requirements

Must be able to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
Strong communication skills.
Strong basic math skills.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
Ability to perform tasks that may include climbing ladders, bending, lifting, pushing, and reaching above and below the waist.

Responsibilities

Warmly greet customers and help create a celebratory environment.
Check customers in and help them book appointments using POS, technology, and software systems.
Help customers choose and style piercings and hypoallergenic non-piercing jewelry.
Answer customer questions about piercing procedures, aftercare, and products in person and by phone.
Promote and upsell Rowan products, including non-piercing jewelry and aftercare kits.
Maintain current knowledge of product materials, styles, and care instructions.
Meet or exceed individual sales targets and performance metrics by communicating the value of Rowan’s services and products and converting piercing customers into non-piercing jewelry customers.
Keep the studio clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Follow health and safety regulations, particularly those related to piercing procedures and hygiene.
Assist managers with receiving, restocking, pricing, displaying, cleaning, and maintaining inventory and visual displays.
Collaborate with Studio Managers, Assistant Managers, and Studio Nurse Piercers to provide seamless customer service.
Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Support studio-wide goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges.
Conduct stock checks and replenish displays as needed.
Maintain accurate customer records, including consent and waiver forms and aftercare instructions.
