About The Position

The Seasonal Peak Associate is a temporary seasonal position responsible for processing and preparing receipts of merchandise, fixtures, and supplies at the assigned store. The associate also helps move, stock, and replenish merchandise on the sales floor and in receiving areas. This part-time role may involve various shifts and requires weekend availability. Compensation is $15 per hour, and associates receive a 30% discount.

Requirements

Basic math and reading skills.
Legible handwriting.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to perform frequent physical activities including using hand tools, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, and lifting.

Nice To Haves

Prior merchandise receiving, handling, and stocking experience in retail or warehouse environments.

Responsibilities

Follow the Company’s freight management process when unloading.
Unload merchandise, fixtures, and supplies from trucks and direct them to designated areas on the sales floor.
Prepare merchandise for the sales floor by removing packaging, verifying price information, and ticketing when necessary.
Process merchandise as directed and according to Company procedures.
Perform recovery throughout shifts as needed, including collecting trash and compacting cardboard.
Work independently and as part of a team to accomplish assigned goals.
Operate a cash register as needed.
Recover receiving areas and the sales floor before the end of each shift.
