About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a part-time Retail Sr. Sales Associate to create welcoming customer experiences, help customers find instruments and equipment, and contribute to store sales and operations. The role combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, merchandising, relationship building, and peer leadership. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed.

The position suits a music enthusiast who enjoys sales, helping customers, and supporting a team in a fast-paced retail environment. The associate should be comfortable working additional hours when needed, including nights and weekends. Requirements

• Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
• A proven track record in sales and ability to exceed sales targets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and inspire others.
• Flexibility to work additional hours if needed and work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment and help customers explore their musical interests and find suitable gear.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, including through upselling and cross-selling instruments and accessories.
• Maintain expert knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve colleagues’ product knowledge.
• Build customer relationships and help fellow associates develop customer relationships and connections in the local music community.
• Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
• Guide and mentor team members, supporting customer interactions and operational tasks.
• Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
