About The Position

Love's Travel Stops offers transitioning active-duty service members a Military SkillBridge Internship to apply their service skills in a civilian career path. Interns support operations at an assigned location or district and develop leadership skills across truck care services, restaurant operations, and retail management. They work with store management and team members, serve customers, support merchandising, assist with team coordination and training, and learn about career paths and retail management at Love's.

Requirements

Must be an active-duty service member.
Must qualify for a 60–180-day SkillBridge Program.
Must have approval from the first commander in the chain of command.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and management.
Enthusiasm for leading a team, taking initiative, and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
Collaborative spirit and eagerness to learn from others.
Ability to meet the physical demands of regular talking and hearing; standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing; and frequent lifting or moving of items over 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities are required.

Responsibilities

Work with store management and team members to learn daily operations in restaurant, truck care, and retail services.
Engage with customers, provide excellent service, and attend to their needs with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
Support merchandising initiatives to drive sales, optimize product placement, and maintain an appealing store environment.
Assist with team coordination, motivation, and training exercises.
Explore career growth paths at Love's and learn about different aspects of retail management.
