About The Position

Southern Tire Mart is seeking a motivated and skilled Retail Service Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of tire and light mechanical services for our retail customers. You will conduct vehicle inspections, perform preventative maintenance, and assist customers with tire selection. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in tire or automotive service, but it is not required as paid on-the-job training is provided. Requirements

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in tire or automotive service preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform tire and light mechanical services for retail customers, including mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing tires.
Conduct vehicle inspections and perform preventative maintenance services.
Assist customers with tire selection, explaining product features and benefits.
Perform basic mechanical repairs such as brakes, alignments, oil changes, and suspension work.
Operate tire-changing, balancing, and alignment equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain clean and organized work areas while following all safety and company procedures.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with service advisors and management.
