About The Position

Provide security services at La Cumbre Plaza in Santa Barbara, maintaining a visible presence and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and staff. This role focuses on strong awareness, customer service, and professionalism while supporting daily site operations.

• Must be willing to submit to a background and drug screen; any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation.
• Minimum 3 -- 6 months prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems or access computer systems.
• State Guard license is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances and control pedestrian and vehicle access
• Patrol the property and surrounding areas
• Observe and report suspicious activity, incidents, or safety concerns
• Assist customers, visitors, and employees in a professional and friendly manner
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations as needed
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and log entries
• Monitor cameras and security systems as required
• Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
• Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and site-specific protocols
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Communicate regularly with the Security Supervisor regarding site activity
