About The Position

The Retail Seasonal Temporary Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role also supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and performs other duties as assigned. The associate accurately processes purchases and returns, prepares merchandise for the sales floor, and maintains merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and organizational standards throughout the store. The role includes supporting shrink-reduction and safety programs, and giving and receiving recognition and constructive feedback. The position is seasonal and temporary at the Marshalls store in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Responsibilities

Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
