About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local retail stores each week to collect in-store product data. Using a downloadable app on a mobile phone, the associate scans product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout the store, including aisle end caps, and reports quantities for about 45% of scanned products. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete weekly display scans across the entire store and may also carry out custom projects that request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations. Custom projects occur almost every week and can add 30 minutes to two hours per store. Work is performed across assigned retailers, with weekly deadlines that must be met throughout the year, including holiday weeks. The position averages 6–14 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload; additional project hours are frequently assigned during the year, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on one's feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
