About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve sales performance for products and retailers. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of the products scanned.

The position involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Store types may include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers. Associates complete display scanning and may also perform Custom Projects, which request more detailed information about products in main stocking locations and typically add 1–2 hours per store in applicable weeks.

Base hours average 7–16 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned during the year, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and work dependably and accurately. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal scheduling needs and client requirements. The position is permanent and part-time. The listed route includes stores in York, Fort Mill, and Rock Hill, South Carolina, with available workdays varying by store.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
