About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They also report the quantity of about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed and used to improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates perform in-store data collection at assigned local retailers each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Store types include grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise retailers, including national chains and independent stores. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes throughout each store.

The position averages 6–15 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically 1–2 hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects throughout the year, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines and can expect continuous physical activity during their workday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
