About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit designated local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps. They use a downloadable mobile app to collect data that is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates also report quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves completing display scans across the entire store every week, plus custom projects that clients request frequently and that can add 1–2 hours per store in a given week. Associates are responsible for meeting weekly deadlines and completing assigned work reliably and accurately. The route includes drug stores in Skokie and Morton Grove and grocery stores in Chicago and Glenview, with available workdays varying by store. Work is required throughout the year, including holiday weeks.

This is a permanent part-time role averaging 6–9 base hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional project hours are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during work shifts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on one's feet for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
