About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to collect in-store product data at assigned local retailers each week. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations throughout stores, including end caps. For about 45% of scanned products, associates also provide quantity information. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

The role covers assigned stores every week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Base hours average 3–6 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Special projects are frequently assigned and typically add 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines. The position offers workplace independence and some flexibility in scheduling, subject to personal needs and client requirements. The route listed includes a grocery store in Lemon Grove, California, and a mass merchandiser in La Mesa, California.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to remain on your feet for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
