About The Position

The Retail Scan Associate visits assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and throughout aisle locations, including end caps. The collected information is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on a mobile phone and provide quantity information for about 45% of scanned products.

The role involves weekly Display Scanning throughout the entire store, which can take several hours, as well as Custom Projects that occur almost every week and may add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store. Associates must meet weekly store deadlines. The position is permanent and part-time, averaging 5–12 base hours per week across stores, with additional hours frequently assigned for special projects. Work is performed year-round, including holiday weeks. The role offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, while requiring continuous physical activity during the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
