About The Position
Pet Food Express is seeking a sales-driven associate to help pet parents find suitable products and create a friendly, informative shopping experience. The role involves engaging customers, offering tailored recommendations using the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach, educating customers about products, and supporting day-to-day store operations through checkout, stocking, shipment unloading, and cleaning. Associates participate in daily training and ongoing educational programs and are expected to maintain reliable attendance and contribute to team collaboration. The work includes physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, standing, walking, bending, stretching, and repetitive motions. The expected pay range is $17.70–$18.70 per hour; starting pay depends on factors including local market rate, candidate qualifications and experience, internal compensation practices, and budget constraints.

- Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, stretch, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift.

Responsibilities
- Proactively approach and engage with customers and their pets.
- Ask questions to understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.
- Use the Pet Food Express Whole Life Approach to provide tailored product recommendations.
- Participate in daily training and ongoing educational programs to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
- Stay current on new products, promotions, and the pet community.
- Educate customers about product benefits and solutions for their pets’ needs.
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Operate the cash register and provide a friendly checkout experience.
- Unload shipments and stock the store.
- Clean and maintain the store, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
- Support store operations by performing additional duties as assigned.
