About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local retailers each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. They collect data that is analyzed to improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable mobile-phone app to scan barcodes throughout each store and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

The role involves weekly in-store data collection at assigned retailers throughout the year, including holiday weeks. Associates complete display scanning across the entire store, which can take several hours, and may perform Custom Projects that request additional details about products in primary stocking locations. These projects occur almost every week and typically add one to two hours per store when assigned. Work must be completed by weekly deadlines.

Base hours average 6–13 hours per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours, typically one to two hours per week per store, are frequently assigned for special projects, with higher demand from January through June. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview. The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in hours, while requiring continuous physical activity during shifts. The position is permanent and part-time.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with at least minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
